Premise – Urban Housing in Indian cities has apparent deficiencies in terms of quantity as well as quality along with the widening gap between its need and solution. The ‘Teachers Training Program’ aims to explore design paradigms of appropriate urban housing solutions in Indian cities based on a careful understanding of the changing and evolving socio-cultural and economic dynamics along with the environmental challenges .
Purpose – The purpose is to sensitize and equip the participants from professional and academia in diverse areas of the subject of Urban Housing and at the same time provide an opportunity to engage in an intense, creative and innovative process of ‘Urban Housing’ design paradigms.
Program – The program would include expert lectures by eminent academicians and professionals, interactive sessions and discussions, site visits and a studio-based design charrette led by mentors.
Open for all faculty members and qualified professionals from field of Architecture, Urban Design, Landscape, Planning, Design or any allied discipline.
