21.04_ Reflective Writing

This workshop focuses on developing new ways of understanding oneself and one’s concerns about the world through writing. It will help you situate yourself, identify your interests and articulate them based on what you have done in the past and what you would like to do in future. Personal statements, statements of purpose (SoPs) for universities, scholarships and jobs, blogs and diary writing are different forms of reflective writing. Reflective writing is also helpful if you are looking at charting your career path or setting up your own practice.

The workshop will be discussion and activity based. It will consist of 6 group sessions and 3 individual mentoring sessions per student. Students are encouraged to participate in discussions and maintain pace by working on individual/group assignments. Google classroom will be used for assignment submissions and feedback. The workshop will be conducted on Google Meet and Google Jamboard will be used to record key points from discussions.

At the end of the workshop, you will be able to:

  1. Identify your areas of interest and/or career paths
  2. Communicate your interests and opinions through writing
