VISION

A’ Design Award aims to channel the attention of press, interactive medias, design critics, distributors and buyers to the award winners. The motto of the A’ Design Awards is “Ars Futura Cultura” i.e. Arts Cultivate the Future, Arts for the Culture of Future. We believe that the future is shaped by arts, design and technology, thus there is need of good design for a better future.

Good Architectural Design
Architecture Design is the process and the product of planning, designing, constructing and devising buildings and other physical structures for public good. Architectural works, especially buildings and monuments are also perceived as cultural symbols and as works of art, yet they are design objects since they are functional as well as being artistic. Civilizations throughout history have been identified with their surviving architectural achievements.
Good Architectural Design is planning, designing and devising buildings that are more functional, aesthetical and durable. Good Architectural Design is preparing clear instructions for constructing the building as planned. Good Architectural Designs tend to be identified as timeless artifacts, durable and reliable by the population and they shall be equally easier to maintain. Architectural Design at large; i.e. Spatial Design can be macro such as urban design, landscape architecture and buildings constructions or it could be micro such as interior design or public-art.
Architecture is not only one of the oldest, but also one of the most multi-disciplinary knowledge intensive scientific fields, thus when we discuss Good Architectural Design, we shall focus on the grand picture of spatial design which is concerned with interior and exterior forms together with communication designs, the user experiences through aesthetics and facilities implementation plus the civil engineering aspects and of course any and all social, psychological and socio-psychological impacts.
Good Architectural Design Award
“Good ArchitectureDesign Award” winner title is granted to A’ Design Award winning spatial design projects which demonstrate a multi-disciplinary approach to space and interaction design. Entries to the good architectural design award could be from a variety of spatial design related fields including architectural design, real-estate projects design, landscape design, urban design and others including interior designs which incorporate advanced spatial design thinking, such as design of communication, way finding, intelligent or automated maintenance etc.

The Design Prize

Jury
The foundation of any good design award, in addition to fair evaluation and judging by an extensive methodology, is to have a strong and expert design competition jury which provides their invaluable knowledge base and insight to evaluate the submitted entries, creating benefit and value for participants by transferring their insights and ideas in form of votes, feedbacks and suggestions. Good design award jury panels shall be multidisciplinary and comprised of recognized but most importantly experienced international designers, professors, entrepreneurs, journalists and publishers who can truly validate and evaluate design using their wisdom, experience, specialization and technical knowledge. In a good design award, every design award jury member should follow a code of conduct or as we require sign a jury agreement and shall be excluded from taking part in the competition. In addition, to avoid conflicts of interest, the jurors may not be employees of the participating companies. Furthermore to create further value to participants, the A’ Design Award and Competition has introduced during its foundation, for the first time in all design award and competitions, a prejudging procedure called preliminary evaluation and checking which helps participants to get insights about their work before they participate in the design competition finals.
Submission
Deadline for submission is February 28.
Results will be announced to public on April 15.
