The site is a suburb of Chongqing, China. It is an interior plan of one room of a 5-story apartment house.Clients love books and nature. She wanted a white and beautiful space where various plants, books and furniture could look good. We also looked for lots of real estate with her.
A living room, a bedroom, kitchen, sanitary and storage are planned in a small space of 33 square meters. It had to be arranged functionally and efficiently. Also, we carefully examined the material and texture. Soft natural light enters through the frosted glass and the sheer curtain. Ceilings and walls are painted with matte white to maximize light from the opening.
We selected floor gray tile to have a light striped pattern. Because the entire space was not killed. These colors and materials are extended to the kitchen and bathroom, so they are unified so that space is not separated more.
The dried flowers and sundries are displayed on the light gray stone counter which has 5meter length. This counter is so strong that it can be used as a reading bench. At the top of it is a shelf for books and small items. The shelf has a minimal design so that only unnecessary panels can be seen from the front so that it can be used from the both sides. The kitchen with the same stone top plate as the counter is a special order item and is arranged to connect with the washing machine and the refrigerator. This space is in perfect harmony with the old furniture owned by her.
