Practice Ideolody – Urban Architectural Collaborative [UA LAB]

UA Lab is a multidisciplinary design studio headed by Krushnakant and Vipuja. Our portfolio comprises of wide scale of design projects ranging from private residential spaces to community housing and community space design. We provide design services in architecture, landscape design and interior design. Our design approach is always focused on the basic questions of scale, proportions, character, spaciousness, daylight, ventilation, and theclimatic comfort in the built environment. These aspects inform our conceptual positions and guide our design process. The design process is all about creatingsynchronization between innovation; humane spaces and ambitious requirements.

At UA Lab we hold a keen interest in design of community spaces. We try to understand people, their ways of living and their expectations. We use them as opportunities for place making. We hold equal strength in the detail design. Choice of different materials is rooted in the basic understanding of ”how” these materials will come together. Details are meticulously designed guided by the qualities and character of the material. Our design work has been recognized and published in various National and International design websites and magazines. In 2017, UA Lab has been awarded IIID Design Excellence Award at the Zonal level. In 2019, our design work has also been shortlisted at WADe Asia awards. In the same year, our manifesto has been selected to be presented at Women in Design 2020+, curated by Hecar Foundation.
