Practice Ideology
The project was created in 2014 by Ana Carolina Freitas (1). It is the same who gives its name to the atelier, but it is as a team that the activity is developed, having counted on several and precious collaborations over time. The philosophy of the office is based on the opening of architecture to everyone and on the acceptance of multidisciplinarity and multiculturalism as an important tool to guarantee a product that rises to the challenges, without constraints and free from prejudice.
(1) Starts academic career in 2007 at Universidade Lusíada do Porto; he attends the University of Beira Interior, the Technical University of Gdansk and finishes his degree in architecture at the University of Crete. He developed his master’s dissertation under the supervision of Konstantinos Ougrinis (MIT-Massachusetts Institute of Technology), with the theme Transformable Spaces & Glocal Architecture. He was part of the EPArq department. (Planning and Architecture Structure) at the University of Aveiro under the supervision of the architect Joaquim Oliveira. He was president of the Center for Architects of the Region of Aveiro (NAAV) from 2017 until its dissolution in 2020. He has been Vice-President of the Regional Section of the Centro da Ordem dos Arquitectos since 2020.
