About Competition

Overpopulation, resource depletion, ecosystem collapse: after due consideration, from a planet that is at breaking point, the ultimate unexplored horizon, the only untouched frontier seems outer space.

50 years after the last human moon landing, a renewed interest in space has driven a group of public and private international partners to go back to our silent satellite.

Through the Artemis program, in November 2022 the first no-crew mission was launched, what will be next?

In collaboration with ESA’s Topical Team, YAC is proud to present Moon Station, the competition that invites young architects to design the first moon research base and take part in a unique and revolutionary challenge.

The cash prize of € 15,000 will be distributed to the winning proposals selected by an international jury panel composed of some of the most world-renowned space architects and professionals.

Prizes:

1ST PRIZE €8.000

2ND PRIZE €4.000

3RD PRIZE €2.000

2 x GOLD MENTION €500
