Task 1

Software used: Rhinoceros 6, Grasshopper

Tools Used: Construct Domain, Random, Panel, Loft, Extrude, Vector XYZ, Move, Explode, List item, ScaleNU.

The session was to build to develop an understanding of implementation of generative algorithm and design optimization through evolutionary algorithm. An architecture design brief was developed with tutor and students’ input. The brief was to design for rooms (Living room, Kitchen, Bedroom1, Bedroom2) with a central courtyard. To develop this, different fitness criteria were assigned to generate the design.
