The Interlace – Interweaving Tangible and Intangible is an Urban Housing project by Prajit Gupte focuses on affordability, community driven spaces along with light, ventilation and thermal comfort. The project’s final outcome attempts to create a response at the smallest scale, i.e., unit, by crafting the climatically and spatially beneficial spaces for the users. This cluster system helps create the desirable housing density in any natural shape of the site, making it replicable.
The Mining Museum as Reuse of an abandoned quarry

Shalini Polra’s design thesis focuses on rejuvenating and regenerating abandoned lands to restore the lost balance with nature and its surrounding context. The aim is twofold: firstly, open to the public to experience the golden past; secondly, rejuvenating through rainwater harvesting opportunities, scientific methods for land stabilization and restoration to revive the ecosystem and attract migratory birds. Shalini Polra received Best Thesis Award from COA, Two Gold medals for best thesis from M.S University and Golden Trezzini Awards – Honorable Mention for best Museum Design for the thesis.

Reknitting the Ripped Urban Realm by Virtue of Ontology in Architecture, architectural Bachelors Design Thesis by Netal Chandak explores ontology in architecture and questions the principles of newer development to respect the existing spirit and culture of the sacred precinct of Varanasi, India. The proposal at Varanasi includes different characteristics of zones along with a ceremonial axis and also enhances the living experiences of pilgrims and local communities with a responsive socio-cultural built environment.

Reconstructing Childhood – Through Learn, Play and Connecting Memories, an architectural bachelors design thesis by Ullas M ties the neighbourhood (particularly children) with the context of Sivakasi, Tamil Nadu, India using Multiplicity, Excitement, Curiosity and Participatory design parameters. The ‘Nila Pali’ (Night School) program with the learnscapes also becomes a part of the centralised organisation that allows for growth and expansion for children and living communities.
