Selim Altaf Biplob
Having graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1997, Ar. Selim Altaf Biplob along with his two batch-mates founder Synthesis Architects, currently one of the leading architectural firms of Bangladesh. He continued there as Partner till 2017 before establishing In Quest Design Studio along with his two other partners. He is a Member of Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB); Member of RAJUK, Dhaka, Bangladesh; Member of CDA, Chittagong, Bangladesh and also Former Member, Professional Affairs, 19th Executive Committee, Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB).
Tamanna Sayeed
Having graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) in 1997, Ar. Tamanna Sayeed along with his two batch-mates founder Synthesis Architects, currently one of the leading architectural firms of Bangladesh. She continued there as Partner till 2017 before establishing In Quest Design Studio. She is a Member of Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB); Member of RAJUK, Dhaka, Bangladesh; Member of CDA, Chittagong, Bangladesh.
Khalid Bin Kabir
2012 is when khalid Bin Kabir graduated from Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET). Afterwards he started working for Synthesis Architects where he continued till 2017 before establishing In Quest Design Studio along with Selim Altaf Biplob and Tamanna Sayeed. He is a Member of Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB). Apart from his practice, he is keen in Architectural writings, presentations and collaborations.
Practice Ideology
Rather than specializing in a particular building type or specific architectural style, In Quest Design Studio aims to render appropriate responses to often difficult and conflicting requirements. We attempt to achieve simplicity and efficiency, doing more with fewer resources. Our attribute to architecture is based on principles of truth to materials; close relationship with nature; user and maintenance friendly environment; honesty of expression; glorifying local craftsmanship; adaptation of latest technology; respecting the social pattern; achieving sustainability through proper design decision; careful use of land, water, sun & wind.
Each architecture should have its own unique story to share, each must offer its very own charm. The experiences felt within the spaces we create should remain afresh amidst one’s memories.
It doesn’t matter what type of project it is, but what matters is the essence of the project. We try to focus on a particular project with suited attributes for it only. We have to curb our cravings and focus on what is factual for that very project. We emphasize on the context of the project as much as we do for its content. We always put our client first; their angle of the project is vital for us. It gives the starting point for the project.
We focus on team work. We believe that the best result can come with disciplined team work. Here we try to bring out the best from our team mates.
