Announcement

The problem statement for “Inside the Box” looks at a classroom upgrade kit that includes new furniture design, classroom layout methods, the inclusion of taught and DIY learning, with equipment that will help deliver a more robust and fun way of learning than today. The budget is not a constraint, but the size of the classroom is. Will it involve expert installation? Or it can be set up manually by the class itself?

The solution finding looks at traditional schools and their classrooms at large all around the world as target sites. The user group looks at 30 students and 2 teachers in any (one or multiple) of the K12 classes. You can pick an average classroom size for the problem and choose a single class or multiple based on your design.

A school that is outside the box but in THE BOX.

 

This is a conceptual classroom layout for schools that adapt shipping containers for classrooms. Also, a conceptual education system that relies on urban learning resources.

Good design. The idea of the mobile classroom could be the future of a school that pops up anywhere in the city from time to time like a circus. The project’s playfulness and concept are outstanding.

It was a proposal for a mobile container, seen as a tool from the classroom space itself. First of all, the presentation looked like a lot of fun, which attracted my attention.

UNFUSE Serves as a unit block for UNI in the field of Architecture. It intends to break the fusion of traditional design barriers and methodologies by making it a platform for experimentation and conceptual exchange of ideas in architecture, urbanism, society, culture, and ecology. It is a research initiative dedicated to providing opportunities for designers from all domains to explore ideas that go beyond the boundaries of architectural discipline and enrich our built environment; thereby opening up possibilities for the promotion of architectural thought at a global level.

Through open ideas competitions at UNFUSE we focus to create a new narrative to the design stories, a platform where participants have full freedom to redefine the design and story of its evolution. This new approach towards design would serve in refurbishing the profession’s identity in the domain of the built environment.

It would, furthermore, draw the attention of both the professional and general public to the demand of raising overall spatial awareness.
