Brian Meyerson

Brian has more than 35 years of architectural experience working in South Africa, the Middle East and Australia. He held senior roles in several large architectural firms including Group GSA and Denton Corker Marshall before founding his own practice BMA in 1997. BMA Architects grew to a team of 20 designers and then merged with Sydney-based JPRA Architects in 2011 to become MPR Design Group.
He has proven credentials in developing innovative design solutions for challenging sites and has built a strong reputation in inner-city Sydney, having led the design of several recent significant urban renewal projects in Green Square and Bondi Junction. More than 40 private homes in Sydney’s exclusive Eastern Suburbs have been designed by Brian. With a passion for designing intuitively to achieve contemporary sustainable outcomes, Brian has held a long interest in ESD principles and was involved in comprehensive environmental design research projects in Israel. He was also co-author of “History of Adobe Architecture in Palestine”.

Liam Hancock

Liam Hancock is a UK registered architect with 14 years experience, graduating with honours in 2001 from the University of Westminster, London. Liam’s early experience includes working on large scale retail and commercial projects both within the UK and across Asia. Specialising in the concept and design development stages of the design process, Liam has undertaken a wealth of commercial and residential projects that range in scale from a 6 Ha commercial masterplan with 100,00 sqm of associated commercial, retail and infrastructure works in Macquarie Park to a 20,000sqm commercial building at 1 Shelley St and a 40 storey tower at 1 Bligh St ($270m) in Sydney’s CBD. Additionally he has led design teams on a number of residential and mixed use architectural competitions across Australia and Dubai. More recently Liam has specialised in the design and procurement of several multi-unit residential buildings within Sydney. Outside of work undertaken within architectural practices, Liam was the architectural lead from Australia as part of an international design team submission for Barangaroo, Sydney CBD. The scheme was chosen as 1 of 30 (from 300 international entries) to be publicly exhibited at the MCA.

Kevin Ng

Kevin Ng studied at the University of Newcastle and graduated at the University of Technology Sydney with honours. Kevin runs the single residential and boutique multi-unit projects portfolio in the practice and is responsible for the concept design, documentation and delivery of these projects. His passion, enthusiasm dedication and attention to detail is fundamental to his holistic approach on all his projects. He is directly involved in all stages of his projects and continuously explores ideas and innovation to achieve the best outcomes for his clients. Kevin’s projects have been shortlisted in the World Architectural Festival in Barcelona and Singapore and recently was shortlisted in the 2014 NSW architecture awards. His projects have also been widely published, featuring MONUMENT, INDESIGN, HABITAT magazines as well as publications abroad in Spain, Korea, Germany, Hong Kong and the US.

Carrying a diligence that constantly seeks to push beyond client expectations, MHNDU has established a strong reputation in the architecture industry based on its unique blend of technical excellence, commercial acumen and design sensibilities. Over the years, MHNDU has amassed a timeless portfolio of over a hundred works, specialising in developments ranging from bespoke houses and small to medium size multi-residential projects to large scale urban renewal projects within the Eastern Suburbs and Greater Sydney area. These projects are characterised by their confident, modernist statements tempered with an intimate knowledge of local climate, lifestyle and culture. At MHNDU we understand that the development approvals process is one of the most challenging and daunting prospects for our clients. We have built our name on our ability to engage and mediate the processes involved between clients, council, neighbours and major stakeholders. We assist our clients’ assessment of their site’s development potential through feasibility and early concept design studies for a wide range of projects. We assess the potential for bonus floor space via voluntary planning agreements, affordable housing schemes and exceptions to the planning controls to increase the yield of our client’s sites. MHNDU is proudly affiliated with interior design studio Lawless and Meyerson, who specialise in beautiful spaces for people to live in, work in and enjoy. Headed by interior designer Jo Lawless, Lawless and Meyerson have collaborated with MHNDU on a range of multi-award winning projects, building on a wealth of experience and style of relaxed sophistication. From high end bespoke homes to luxury apartments, each collaboration is treated individually and holistically from the inside out: a seamless blend of architectural expression and refined interiors.
