Suzhou Chapel by Neri&Hu Design and Research Office is a religious architecture whose language is inspired from components present elsewhere in the project such as the undulating brick walls and floating white bulk, but it elevates them to a new degree of expression. As the various wall heights entwine with one another to create a carefully organised landscape trip leading to the actual structure, the brick walls begin to disintegrate at a finer scale.

Wutopia Lab’s Deep Time Palace is a contemporary expressionist sanctuary that doubles as an art gallery and liberates its visitors’ souls from the relentless grip of time in daily life. The goal was to start by establishing the underground structure as a “depth” reference. By introducing an enormous scale that would confuse spectators, the architect also aimed to question the conventional idea of a linear timeline.

The U/U studio’s project, Skatepark Řeporyje, is a landscape design project aiming to create a beautiful and safe public area for all age groups and social classes. The layout mixes an outdoor movie theatre, a skatepark, a pump track, picnic tables with grills, and a wooden stage for events. Sculptures that work closely with the layout and other elements of the sports complex enable an unexpected link between action and art.

The residence, Casa VI was designed by Primer Piso Arquitectos with a form that satisfies the need to link the most important parts of the house with the surrounding piedmonte. The house had to be built on a single story, and the main bedroom and living room both had to have views of the mountain as defining requirements for the project. Traditional building techniques and locally available materials are used to bring the project to life.

The residence, Casa Fragata by Estudio Galera is a closed monovolume built 4 metres above street level. The empty area beneath the volume was designed to allow for “freer” and more feasible functions outdoors. The staircase core separates the public and private spaces, keeping all of the house’s covered activities in a box upstairs.The house offers expansive views of the first floors of the nearby homes from every room as it is totally open to the north.

The architectural project 3 Hoefe by Tchoban Voss is conceived as a work-life building ensemble, providing for a roughly equal mixture of residential and work uses. 3 Hoefe (Three Courtyards) is a lively, independent quarter entirely in keeping with the courtyard architecture typical of mid-19th-century Berlin. The buildings are grouped around three green inner courtyards of different designs.

Cotaparedes Arquitectos’ architectural design for the Avila Pavilion is a space with a capacity for 200 people, used to hold a range of events. The structure of the Pavilion was modulated using the standard measurements of the materials to be used, such as steel, aluminum, glass, and sheet cover, to be as environmentally conscious as possible while also making efficient use of the resources available to facilitate its execution.

Cha Angadi by Int-Hab Architecture + Design Studio is a stand-alone structure in mild steel, making it easier to dismantle and reinstall at will. When not in use, the framework can be completely closed, giving it the appearance of a container. The architectural principles of contrast, rhythm, and repetition are used to visualize every component of the design, which brilliantly combines to produce a modern and creative outlet.

Unniyettan’s Home by Nestcraft Architecture is a residence based on minimalist architecture that uses simplicity to create a unique space. To make the new space grow from the old structure using a minimalist approach, the designers developed the notion of “bamboo” growing from the ground in consideration of the negative conditions of too many columns and too long passages on the project site.

The Chapel of St. Lawrence by Avanto Architects. is a cemetery chapel that used a design method focused on the experience of the mourner. The chapel’s construction is intended to support the mourner by providing a place for mourning. The mourners move silently through a sequence of sacral locations, separated by interim rooms. The building is constructed with materials that are like those of the nearby older buildings.

Refurbishment in Sants by Midori Arquitectura is an interior design project aiming to enhance the subpar conditions and value the unique features of the home. When evaluating the intervention, there were two main factors to consider: first, the lengthy geometry made it difficult to utilize the center area, and second, the placement of the drainage pipes prevented the kitchen and bathroom from being placed far from them.
