Hanan Salameh

Graduated with an excellent GPA from the Jordan University of Science and Technology, College of Design and Architecture, Hanan brings over two years of experience in urban projects, primarily in Saudi Arabia. She has specialized in urban planning, landscape design, interior design, and architectural guidelines, working across diverse scales and contexts. While many of her projects remain confidential, her multidisciplinary approach to design reflects her commitment to both innovation and sustainability, ensuring that her work enhances the lives of those who interact with the spaces she creates.

Practice Ideology

Hanan Salameh’s design philosophy centers on the belief that architecture should be a natural extension of its context rather than a separate element that must be made to fit. She views the built environment as a continuation of the natural and cultural landscape, where every design decision respects the surrounding environment. This means that the relationship between architecture and its context is not merely aesthetic but rooted in a deeper understanding of the physical, social, and cultural dimensions of place.

For Hanan, contextual integration is key to successful design. Architecture should not dominate or disrupt its surroundings but instead complement and enhance them. This approach requires a thoughtful and holistic design process, where the building’s form, function, and materials are carefully chosen to align with the environment’s characteristics. Whether it’s urban or rural settings, her goal is to create spaces that naturally blend into their surroundings, offering a sense of continuity and harmony.

In addition to contextual sensitivity, sustainability plays a crucial role in Hanan’s practice. She believes that architecture must not only serve its users but also minimize its environmental impact. Through the responsible use of resources and the creation of efficient, durable structures, her work reflects a commitment to long-term sustainability.

Ultimately, Hanan’s ideology is about creating architecture that enriches the human experience by connecting people to their environment. By weaving built spaces into the natural and cultural fabric, her designs foster a sense of belonging and promote a more sustainable interaction with the world around us.
