Brie Nakamura
With 15 years of custom residential design and experience in glass, metalworking, pottery, and more, Brie finds joy balancing form and function. She earned both her M.Arch and B.A. from the University of Washington, the latter with a focus on furniture-making.
Michael Conover, Assoc. AIA
Michael brings Montana-born diligence to all his designs, which combine built structures and natural landscape to evoke the unique character of each home. Kor Architects’ resident technophile, Michael also leads 3D modeling, printing, and VR tools. He holds an M.Arch and a B.A. from Montana State University.
Practice Ideology
When a house speaks to us, we call it a home. When a job speaks to us, we call it a passion. At Kor, the architects pride themselves on listening—to the materials, to the environment, and to the people who will live in the homes they create. That’s why they work at the human scale, embracing collaboration and deep focus and appreciating the challenges and joys in every project. Through communication, inspiration, and sheer tenacity, they imbue every home with a unique and compelling spirit. While their designs embody decades of collective expertise, they deliver something greater: spaces that speak to their clients’ most authentic selves.
They design spaces that become the seat of life; homes that feel distinctive and authentic to their clients; and architecture that arises from the singular spirit of a place.
