René Dlesk
René Dlesk comes from Slovakia. He got to the Czech Republic via Holland, Germany and Italy, where he worked for seven years with Erick van Egeraat and then independently under his own brand P-U-R-A. The P-U-R-A platform operated until 2017 on the axis London – Milan – Prague and was dedicated to urban projects and international competitions. The dissertation, which René defended at FAD STU in Bratislava, is devoted to the quality of public space and the influence that interventions of a temporary nature have on it. René currently also works as a city architect in Vimperek, Šumava.
He is an absolute detailer, constantly investigating the nature of things and how they work. In life and in architecture, he appreciates naturalness, authenticity and sincerity. He loves recognized constructions, pure materials, clean proportions and a clear concept. At RDTH, he has completed most of the projects and has always put maximum energy into his work. René exaggerates that he would negotiate with the devil, which only reflects his open and friendly nature and ability to seek consensus.
“I think it is quite crucial for the work of RDTH that we work very well together as a team. We complement each other, respect each other and have a lot of laughs together.”
Tamara Horová Kolaříková
She is from Brno and graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at CTU. She completed a one-year internship at the Escola Tècnica Superior d’Arquitectura in Barcelona and a work internship in Zurich at the Neff Neumann architekten studio. While at school, she participated in the work of the painter Jiří Sozanský, took part in competitions for students, and two years after completing her studies, she founded the RDTH atelier together with René.
Tamara is also currently working on the mamapy.cz project, which she co-founded after the birth of her daughter, and which aims to improve movement and stay in the city for parents of small children.
Architecture lives. She loves order, efficiency, structure and thoughtfulness of things, and this is reflected in her approach to design. In her work as an architect, she enjoys coordinating other professions on construction sites, where visions materialize under her hands, and where she can directly apply her communication skills and sense of precision, practicality and detail. At RDTH, he is also in charge of marketing, communication with the media and financial planning.
“I strive for constant self-reflection and iteration of our work, because I believe that only this and the right criticism will move us somewhere.”
Practice Ideology
Studio RDTH architekti was founded in Prague in 2017 by Tamara Kolaříková (Horová) and René Dlesk. In their current practice, they mainly focus on private projects of small and medium scales.
