Tapan Trivedi

An architect by practice, he decided to go back to his roots and learn architecture by apprenticeship instead of formulated college teachings. He is also a self-taught potter and runs a brand called Anaduh Ceramics, which began as an exploration into the simplicity of forms, materials, and proportions in everyday objects.

Practice Ideology

They imagine architecture as a humble and quiet intervention into the landscape, which would mean that architecture would serve as a backdrop for life to take over. Therefore, the name also takes the meaning of the word ‘background’, serving only as a second layer for the life that it is meant to hold.

The projects of the practice carry forward the ideas and philosophy of work as catered in past experiences to work on educational campuses with a focus on appropriate use of materials in an attempt to minimize the carbon footprint of the built, and exploring methods of passive cooling in the building, incorporating them with an absolute love of crafting spatial experiences.
