Pablo Andrés Vela (Principal Architect)
He is an architect graduated from the Facultad de Arquitectura Diseño y Urbanismo of the Universidad de Buenos Aires – 1983 – Homologation Spanish title – 1988. Master of Works. National School of Technical Education Engineering “Otto Krause”-1976 – International Course of History of Architecture – Andrea Palladio International Center for Architecture Studies Vicenza, Italy – 1988.
Partner in vs-studio architecture, founding partner of mvs-architecture office 2004/2015 and group vov-arquitectos/consultores. He has won and obtained prizes in national and international architecture and urban project competitions.
Professor of the Architectural Project I – II workshop and Coordinator of the IA Project area of the National University of San Martín – UNSAM since 2014. Professor of the Comprehensive Architecture Workshop I and II of the University of Palermo – UP years 2001 -2013. RIBA Certifications (Royal Institute of British Architects) 2006 and 2013.
Director of the research work Problems of the Architectural Project / Space and built limit / Towards a pedagogy of the project in the initial teaching of architecture – UP.
Has served as JTP and Adjunct Professor of Architecture III to V, Alberto Varas Chair 1992-2003 -FADU-UBA. Professor and JTP of Morphology and Architectural Representation, Arq. Roberto Doberti Chair -FADU-UBA 1981-1986.
Has published works and articles on architecture in national and international magazines.
Former advisor on Infrastructure of the Secretary of Culture of the GCBA in the Department of Projects and former advisor on Infrastructure of the Secretary of Education of the GCBA in the Department of New Works.
Laura Schächter (Principal Architect)
She is an architect graduated from the Facultad de Arquitectura Diseño y Urbanismo of the Universidad de Buenos Aires 1983 – Postgraduate in Intervention in Architectural Heritage, Higher Technical School of Architecture of Madrid, Spain – Homologation Spanish title – 1988. She is partner in the studio vs-architecture studio.
Developed advice on Urban Planning and Government Management; General Paz Strategic Project, agreement between the FADU and the GCBA 2019 – CABA Legislature Urban Planning Commission, Public Works Commission and Housing Commission 2014. Has developed Architecture and Infrastructure Projects for the Ministry of Culture of CABA, Theater Master Plan Colón 2006-2007 -Casa Ezcurra 2006-2007, Technical Advice for the Secretariat of Public Works CABA, Pro-Monument Commission CABA 2000-2006.
Has developed and coordinated projects in the area of Urban Planning; Coordination of the Strategic Plan for the Urban, Territorial and Environmental Development of the Municipality of Lanús 2010-2012 -Comprehensive Project for the area of Access to the Alsina Bridge 2010-2011 -Consulting for the Refunctionalization Project of the former ESMA Alpha Pavilion. House of Our Children, Life and Hope 2011-201.
Has worked as a Professor of Architecture in History II, Rafael Iglesias Arch. Chair 1980 and in Design I, II, III, IV and V, Tony Díaz Arch. Chair 1984-1986, at FADU-UBA.
Has published works of architecture in national magazines. Strategic Plan for Urban, Territorial and Environmental Development of the Municipality of Lanús selected by the Professional Council of Architecture and Urbanism to integrate the exhibition and publication of the CPAU 2012 call.
Sebastián Vela (Principal Architect)
He is an architect graduated from the Facultad de Arquitectura Diseño y Urbanismo of the Universidad de Buenos Aires 2018. He was part of the Ventura-Virzi studio 2015-2017, winning the First Prize in the National Contest “Design of significant accesses and nodes of the municipality of La Matanza” and developing small and medium-scale projects.
Since 2017 he has been part of the Off The Record Collective, developing project-material research. Workshops at the Design Biennial of the Facultad de Arquitectura Diseño y Urbanismo of the Universidad de Buenos Aires in 2017 and 2019. Temporary exhibition at the Rosa Galisteo Museum in Santa Fe together with the Contac_to Collective, selected as an emerging Latin American practice at the Architecture Biennial of Venice 2018. Biennale of Young Art Buenos Aires 2019.
Professor of the Architectural Project I – II workshop of the National University of San Martín – UNSAM since 2015. Professor of the Jacoby Architectural Representation chair from 2013-2016. Architecture Assistant III and V of the RED Chair (Ex-Varas) years 2016-2019.
