The renovation required to incorporate the traditional style and layout of the original family home with the new modernist structure. In additions, the owners had fond memories of the greenery surrounded with three huge standing mango trees. Therefore, the new structure would build around the existing trees on the sites.

The principle of design to this new compact house project is to make the most of the original context.

The original greenery and trees were used as a connected point related a fusion between the interior and the shady peaceful exterior nature. The ground floor designs with an open plan living area inspired to make the most of a small space and celebrates with the high ceiling common area opening onto the second-floor space. Despite the tight space, the atmosphere feels open and rich with the natural light throughout the day including the main stair. The second floor consists of functions like gym and working space, a prayer room and a master bedroom. The greenery outside can be seen from any area no matter where you stand enhancing the relaxed vibes to the house. Moreover, the master bedroom deviates the high ceiling with its sloped roof providing more natural light and ventilation. The existing house which consists of the owner’s parent bedroom, the gallery of personal’s collection, and the music room is accessible from both floors with minimum intervention to the original structure.
