Instead of addressing the leaks piecemeal, the designers undertook a holistic approach by replacing the entire roof and elevating it by 2 feet. This strategic enhancement not only resolved structural concerns but also allowed for the redesign of the ceiling to facilitate greater natural light penetration, particularly in the deep center of the house.
