Project Description
[Text as submitted by Architect] The Advanced Vision Operations Nucleus, NOVA, located in the industrial area of Yumbo, Valle del Cauca, is an operation center, which allows the Celsia company to control its energy system from one place at a national and international level.
The challenge of the project was to articulate the high technological and safety requirements with workspaces capable of stimulating the harmonious interaction of the 290 people in charge of processes with high responsibility and, at the same time, communicating to the visitors and potential clients the dynamics of the operation. . For this, a container is designed consisting of a series of volumes with degrees of permeability ranging from the most hermetic, to glass boxes that contain and form terraces for rest and socialization areas.
The double enveloping skin forms diverse enclosures in its interaction with the container and the existing vegetation, allowing the contour of this industrial facility to inhabit a transition strip between interior and exterior for meeting, resting or scheduling events.
