Project Description
[Text as submitted by architect] Situated in the rapidly developing urban landscape of Sarjapur, the clubhouse in a three-block, 608-apartment complex serves as the heart of community life. The clubhouse, designed exclusively for residents, caters to diverse age groups- children, teenagers, and seniors, with amenities tailored to each. Fully accessible, the space is thoughtfully designed to accommodate individuals with disabilities, ensuring inclusivity.
A significant design challenge was integrating the clubhouse with the column layout of the apartments above, necessitating its placement on the lower floors. To foster a sense of openness and invite natural light, extensive glazing is utilized, creating a bright, airy atmosphere. The prominent use of yellow throughout the two levels enhances vertical connectivity, bringing vibrancy and coherence to the spatial experience despite the constrained layout.
The ground floor of the clubhouse is dedicated to vacation activities and sports, strategically containing noise to this level and minimizing disturbances to residents above. This design choice ensures a lively, active space while preserving the tranquility of the upper floors, balancing energy and quiet within the complex.
The first floor of the clubhouse is dedicated to quieter, more focused activities, including meeting rooms, a gym, classroom, library, co-working spaces, and a home theatre. These areas are designed to maintain a serene atmosphere, ensuring that noise is contained and does not disturb the residents above.
