Practice Ideology

Rollimarchini:

Our office rollimarchini, situated in the heart of Bern, was founded in 2000 by ourselves, Michael Rolli and Francesco Marchini, fellow students of the Federal Polytechnic School of Lausanne (EPFL). Later we were joined by Fabian Vögeli who we welcomed as Co-Director.

Our broad range of projects span from small and intricate private dwellings, to complex large-scale structures including factory production buildings, ice hockey stadiums, schools and retirement homes for the elderly.

In evaluating and preparing a project we consider the site, the geography, the cultural and economic environment, a client’s needs and budget constraints, the ecology and the corresponding construction techniques.

In short, we believe that the best architecture is achieved only when function, design, finance and technology work together.

The primacy given to constructive dialogue with our clients ensures that each of our designs expresses their unique needs and aspirations.
