About Course

Writing/s in Architecture is a six-week certified online course on architectural design writing that discovers the art and craft of writing in architecture.  The course elucidates the discipline, writing styles, and techniques through lectures, interactive sessions, exercises, and assignments. The course aims to comprehend architectural writing in India and globally and dwell on its multi-faceted impact, numerous operative mediums, typical genres, mandates, styles, and structures that govern it. The course has been conceptualized, curated, and mentored by Ar. Apurva Bose Dutta (http://www.apurvabose.com/), an author and award-winning architectural journalist from India. In its past five editions, the course has mentored 250+ learners from India and ten more countries. The course is being presently hosted by Acedge , an e-learning platform established by Ar. Gita Balakrishnan.

About the Mentor

Ar. Apurva Bose Dutta is an author, award-winning architectural journalist, curator, and editor from India. For 16 years, she has collaborated with multimedia publication houses, firms, organizations, and educational institutions to communicate on the AEC industry. She has been recognized for her pioneering work in architecture design writing in India.  She represented the Indian delegation in the International Media Visits of Architectural Writers in Melbourne (2016) and Helsinki (2018). Author of “Architectural Voices of India: A Blend of Contemporary and Traditional Ethos” (Cambridge Scholars Publishing, 2017), she is an Advisory Board Member of the official journal of ARCASIA and a member of the media committee of the Council of Architecture of India.
