Practice Ideology

META is a movement for meta-architecture that tries to propagate its vision of architecture by building. META stands for a renewed interest in the building process, interest in architecture itself. META wants to create architecture that transcends the banal without losing theoretical time based on real, practical problems. META likes difficult customers with high demands and a clear vision. META does not think aimlessly and time-consuming or act hastily. META negotiates. META tries to rewrite all data in one story without worrying about expensive and complicated trends. META then builds in one act. Timeless. We live in an open time. Everything is allowed and possible or has already been. There are hardly any cultures left and there are no styles at all. Modern and classic are vague concepts. The architecture has lost the north. It is either parched functionalism that thinks form follows function, or bloated formalism that thinks form determines function. Above, over and after this architecture is the meta-architecture. Meta-architecture thinks about architecture, by committing architecture, by building. She talks about design in design. Theory and practice, design and criticism, thinking and acting coincide. The meta-architecture is a meta-modernism. Being metamodern means: making the content of the term modern disappear by being modern in each assignment in a different way. The meta-architecture doesn’t sell solutions and don’t answer questions. She justifies all questions in a meaningful whole. The meta-architecture does not reject any function and does not design any form. The form forms the function that functions as form. The building is a reflection on building.
