Bernardo Quinzaños Oria

Bernardo Quinzaños studied Architecture and Urban Planning at the Universidad Iberoamericana (2007). He began his career in the arts and has participated in numerous exhibitions in Mexico and abroad. He has undertaken various projects related to the architectural field, sustainability and technology. He currently holds the position of general director within CCA.

Santiago Vélez

Since 2016, architect Santiago Vélez (Mexico City, 1983) has joined the CCA team as partner and Construction Director. Santiago graduated from the Architecture and Urban Planning program at the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City (2007) and completed a Master’s Degree in Engineering with a specialty in Construction Administration from the Universidad Iberoamericana in Mexico City (2017).

Practice ideology

The Centro de Colaboracion Arquitectonica (CCA), an office created in 2008 by Bernardo Quinzaños Oria (Mexico City, 1984) with headquarters in Mexico City.

The office has operated as an independent space dedicated to the research, conceptualization and development of architectural and urban projects, focused on generating a positive impact on the context and society. CCA’s interdisciplinary structure allowed them to promote the knowledge, talent and creativity of each of its collaborators to generate ideas that maximize the potential of each project through an inclusive, collaborative and interdisciplinary work system.

The Centro de Colaboracion Arquitectonica (CCA) has received various awards and recognitions, including: “Emerging Voices 2019” by the Architectural League of New York, “Shortlisted AR Emerging Awards 2022” by The Architectural Review, “Building of the Year 2021 ” by Archdaily , “Icons of Design Award” by Architectural Digest, “International Architecture Award” by The Chicago Athenaeum and The European Center for Architecture Art Design and Urban Studies, “Silver Medal” at the XV National Biennial of Mexican Architecture, “Best of Design 2019 Award” from The Architect’s Newspaper Magazine, “Silver Medal at the Fourth Architecture Biennial of Mexico City, “Work of the Year Award” from Obras Magazine, “Luis Barragan Award” Career of Young Architect by CAM-SAM, among others.
