Mr. Joe Cheng
Mr. Joe Cheng is the Founder of Cheng Chung Design Hong Kong, and the President of ATG. He has served as CTBUH’s first jury chair for the category of interior design, Frame Awards jury for the category of hospitality design, and has been named as ‘Mr. Fashion’ in the capital market. He has also been honored numerous titles such as UN Cultural Ambassador, Chinese Design of the Year, Member of Hall of Fame, Professor of Guangzhou Academy of Fine Arts, Winner of Industry Achievement Award of 2019 Hurun Report and so on. With his design concept of ‘Eastern artistic conception in Western form’, which has become popular around the world, CCD has received over 90 top-notched international design awards including the highest honor in the interior design field – ‘Gold Key Awards’. CCD has been recognized as one of the “Asia’s 500 Most Influential Brands” in 2019, and “China’s 500 Most Valuable Brands” in 2020, which was the first and the only design brand on both list.
Mr. Joe Cheng has over twenty years of experience in hospitality design, with his vision and design philosophy, leading the CCD design team to the forefront of the interior design industry, and guiding the development of CCD. He has always believed that a successful design is the perfect combination of high quality construction and attention to detail. Therefore, every time when he receives a new project, Mr. Joe Cheng insists on participating from the architectural concept design stage, and presents his own unique ideas based on the functional interior designs, in order to assure that the space design is people-oriented. At the same time, he insists on participating in every detail of the project, and his rich experience has solved many problems on site. Mr. Joe Cheng has always been maintaining good communication with professional consulting company, and fully conveyed CCD’s unique design concept to other parties, and has been highly acknowledged by the clients, international hotel management groups, and third-party design partners.
