Vishal Bhavsar
He completed his Bachelor’s degree in B.E. (Civil) at CEPT, Ahmedabad, and his Masters M.E. (Construction Management) at B.V.M. Vallabh Vidhyanagar. He also has a Master’s degree in M.B.A. (Marketing) from the University of Hertfordshire, London, U.K. Vishal Bhavsar is the founding director of VICPL with more than 20 years of experience in the industry. He has been working in diverse markets like the UK and Bangalore before establishing VICPL in 2007. In Bangalore, he started his tenure with Cushman & Wakefield, where he was involved with a lot of large-scale projects like Tech parks and Malls. After coming back to Ahmedabad, he started VICPL, a multidisciplinary design firm that deals with both Architecture and Interior design. Having worked in the UK and Bangalore, Vishal makes sure that the best practices are adopted in VICPL and the firm is professionally managed.
Krishna Bhavsar
She completed her Bachelor’s degree in B.Arch. at CEPT, School Of Architecture, Ahmedabad. Krishna has more than 15 years of experience in the industry. She has rich experience working on a variety of projects in the UK and Bangalore before establishing VICPL in 2007. While in the UK, she has worked on a lot of large-scale residential and commercial projects as an architect. She has been successfully working on and executing a lot of large-scale projects like malls, office buildings, hotels, residential townships, etc. Krishna, being the design head of VICPL, is instrumental in the successful completion of most of the architectural and interior design projects and influential in taking the firm to greater heights.
Practice Ideology
Imbue designs was founded in 2008, as a matter of chance. In 2007, Krishna and Vishal got a unique opportunity to design a large mall (Around 3 lac sq.ft.) in Anand, Gujarat. The design of the mall was appreciated by the top retailers of the time viz. Shoppers Stop, Inox multiplex and Cinepolis multiplex, where they also committed space based on the fantastic design. Unfortunately, the project didn’t happen due to the global recession of 2008. However, the whole episode demonstrated the fact that Krishna and Vishal could give workable solutions to complex problems through their ideas. It also highlighted the fact that as a team they complimented each other with their unique talent and capabilities. Since then, as a team, they have designed various projects across geographies of various scales and types.
