Chandan Suravarapu
Born on 22 June 1978, Chandan Suravarapu graduated from Andhra University College of Engineering, Vizag in 2002. His final year design thesis (Redesigning an existing vegetable market in Vizag) was featured in the students section of IAB in Dec 2002. The same was subsequently presented to the Municipal Commissioner of Visakhapatnam in the form of an open competition. Four years of working with Gurjit Singh Matharoo followed by 3.5years of working with C&T and being independent since 2009, has garnered 19 years of experience in the field of Architecture, Interiors, Execution and Coordination. Owing to involvement in wide range of projects – as described in the following pages – has developed requisite insight into various aspects of building making right from Design to Site, Consultant and authorities coordination. Chandan has won numerous awards for his very first project done in independent capacity – Corporate Office for VRV Cryogenics – a 30,000 Sft project in Sricity, Tada. Alongside the awards, this project also got featured in Domus and Home Trends magazines.
Practice Ideology
Based out of Hyderabad, The Innercode Design Studio was founded in 2009 by Chandan Suravarapu after working at various levels for more than 8-years after graduating in 2002 from Andhra University, Visakhapatnam. The intuitive design process relies heavily on the decision making influenced by the individual’s inner code. Hence the name THE INNERCODE. The Studio is passionately involved in Architecture, Interiors and Landscape design. Limiting landscape design only to our architecture projects allow us to conceptualise projects holistically. The Studio firmly believe in generating high quality work. This is not a mere statement but can be seen in the Studio’s very first commission – Corporate Office for VRV Cryogenics in Sricity, Tada, Andhra Pradesh, that has won numerous awards at National level and magazine features mentioned below. This recognition has reinforced their belief to consciously limit the work to a certain typology and a few number of projects. This allows us to stay focused and give the best to every client with who we establish a personal rapport.
