Since their founding in 1965 by Ricardo Legorreta, Noé Castro, and Carlos Vargas Sr. as Legorreta Arquitectos (now LEGORRETA®), the firm has managed to remain faithful to their original goal of creating the best architecture inspired by human values.
At LEGORRETA®, the designers seek to create an architecture that meets the needs of a society while contributing to the construction of better cities. Achieving functionality, efficiency, and cost control, they believe in designing friendly and human environments with atmospheres that transmit peace, intimacy, and optimism.
They consider that good construction must not only respond to the needs of its users, the city, the environment, the programmes and budgets, but also the spiritual and artistic needs of the people. Thus, they look for architecture that makes people happy, not just one that can be admired and enjoyed by architects. Architecture must be at the service of society, always above personal interests and false objectives.
