Jorge Mauro Lins
Jorge Mauro Lins is an architect and urban planner who graduated from UFC in 1975.
The Lins Arquitetos Associados office was founded in 2011 and is located in the northeastern hinterland, more precisely in Cariri, south of the state of Ceará, in the city of Juazeiro do Norte. They work on all scales and with different programs, starting from the city, through the building, and reaching the furniture.
Their fundamental guideline is respect for the intervention site, adapting the building to the climate, absorbing cultural aspects, and necessarily using materials and labour present in the region. They believe that architectural solutions are not reproducible and directly depend on the location in which they are inserted. Experimentalism is a constant search for the office, always with the aim of bringing innovation to the final result without giving up construction techniques already used and consolidated.
