Under the direction of Luc and Jean Larnaudie, scalene has become the specialist in enriched architecture. A pioneering approach which is an enrichment for all. An architecture made up of “moments”, a sensitive architecture that carries values. This hedonistic approach guides the concrete formalization of devices that invite interaction. It is based on dialogue to build relational mediums. Relationships that are inherently unpredictable and changing. An architectural container can receive them, sometimes catalyze them. Four values guide this optimistic, modern approach: transgressivity, creation of “margins”, delimitation and permissiveness. Scalene works at all urban scales and attempts to put humans at the center of its methods.
