Asif Mohammed Ahsanul Haq

Ar. Asif born in 1976 in Cox’sBazar, Bangladesh. He had his early development in a traditional extended family, after his Schooling from Cox’sBazar Government High School he moved to Chittagong and stayed for 3 years, where he completed his Higher Secondary Certification.

In 2000 he obtained his Bachelor of Architecture from Khulna University, Khulna, Bangladesh. Architect Asif started his own practice Venna Architects from 2004 in partnership with Architect Arifa Akhter.

Beside his practice Ar. Asif has been giving his service for his professional body and served international council as well.  He was the Former Secretary, Heritage and Culture of  20th & 21st Executive Council IAB (Institute of Architects Bangladesh). He Served as Young Architects Representative of  Bangladesh For ARCASIA Architects Regional Council Asia ACYA ARCASIA Young Architects.

Arifa Akhter

Ar. Arifa Akhter graduated from Khulna University in the session 1995 and obtained Bachelor of Architecture (B Arch) in the year 2000. 

She studied in Elizabeth Marble Primary School & Rotary School, Khalishpur, Khulna and completed her HSC in 1990. She completed her HSC in 1993 from Khulna Government Girls’ College, Khulna.

Practice Ideology

Stories Behind“: the concept that leads their architecture is a clear understanding that connects the stories of users; a deep connection to a site, context, religion, climate, and landscapes. Venna Architects’ architectural belief is in contextual sensibility and experimentation in using local materials while thinking globally, since its inception in 2005.

Venna Architects has been the recipient of several prestigious national and international awards in its journey: “28th JK Architect of the Year Awards JK AYA” under the category “Foreign Countries Architecture Awards,” “Arcasia Awards for Architecture AAA 2018” in the Multiple Family Residential Complexes Category, “8th Berger Award for Excellent in Architecture 2017” in the Multi Family Residence Category, and “6th Berger Award for Excellence in Architecture 2013” in the Single Family Residence Category.
