Andrew Brown

Andrew worked for several celebrated Scottish Architecture practices before setting up Brown & Brown in 2010. Andrew coordinates the studios design output, and always brings unprecedented levels of technical detail to all of our projects, ensuring that the design intent is preserved throughout – from conception to completion. Andrew is an invited critic and guest lecturer at several UK schools of Architecture, and has taught at both undergraduate and postgraduate level. Andrew is a certified member of the ARB, RIBA, RIAS and SEDA, and is a Fellow of The Royal Society of Arts

Kate Brown

Kate has played an integral part of the business since co founding Brown & Brown in 2010. With a keen focus on the detail, Kate works closely with clients and contractors through the planning and interior stages of our projects. Using her professional experience in urban and regional planning to ensure that our work is always site-specific. Kate has previously been involved in design tutoring and is a visiting critic at the Scott Sutherland School of Architecture, in Aberdeen.

With a close interest in contextual architecture, as well as exploring contemporary interpretations of vernacular Scottish architecture, we truly understand the value and importance of creating spaces that are not only beautiful but completely functional.
