Takaaki FUJI

Takaaki Fuji was born in Hyogo Prefecture. He entered Waseda University in 2001, and in 2007, he graduated from the Graduate School of Waseda University, Furuya Seisho Laboratory. Also, in 2007, he joined Mitsubishi Jisho Design. He founded tyfa (Takaaki Fuji + Yuko Fuji Architecture) in 2019. He worked on various projects like Taipei Nanshan Plaza, Bay Window Tower House, Meguru-ma, etc. 

He received numerous national and international architectural awards, like the Grand Prize of the Architectural Institute of Japan Award, the Architectural Institute of Japan New Designer Award, the Good Design Award, the JID Award of the Japan Interior Designers Association, the Architecture Master Prize Winner, etc., for Bay Window Tower House, the CTBUH Award of Excellence, etc., for Taipei Nanshan Plaza.

Hiroya INAGE

Hiroya Inage was born in Saitama and raised in Kanagawa. He graduated from Waseda University in 2017 and from Yaguchi Laboratory, Waseda University in 2019. He joined the Algorithm Design Lab in the same year. In 2020, he joined Takenaka Corporation Environmental Consulting Group, and in 2022, he joined Mitsubishi Jisho Design. Currently, he is working at Mitsubishi Jisho Design as an architect. He works on research and development related to BIM, ZEB, GIS, digital archiving, etc.

De Yuan KANG

He was born in Singapore. He enrolled in the National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2013 and graduated from the NUS Masters Programme in 2019. He joined Mitsubishi Jisho Design Asia in the same year. In 2022, he transferred to Mitsubishi Jisho Design (HQ). Currently, he is working at Mitsubishi Jisho Design as an architect. He works on interior design series for overseas branches of a certain company,The Grand Outlet East Jakarta, etc.

 

Practice Ideology

They experiment with architecture that optimizes the environment in terms of light, wind and heat through simulation and proactive consideration of the surroundings, resulting in a unique and distinctive architecture. The European Cultural Centre commissioned them for the current exhibition following the national and international media coverage and awards received for his bay-window tower house made of cork on the exterior walls.
