About Competition

The “Re-Draw” competition aims to develop one drawing to ‘represent’ an iconic architectural piece. The participants are asked to draft one image, with absolute freedom of scale, technique, and level of abstraction.

We encourage creativity, criticality, and innovation. The drawing can highlight functional aspects of the building, showing a deep understanding of one or more design aspects. It can focus on the aesthetic qualities, experimenting and mastering a drawing technique with hyper-realistic outcomes, or it can be an optical deformation, a caricatural interpretation, or a distant abstraction of the built architecture.

The drawing can strengthen a conventional interpretation of architecture, or explore a new angle, a new point of view, intellectual and/or physical. The Villa Savoye can be portrayed as a whole, a part, or a collage of disconnected moments. The entry is completely flexible and adaptable to the participant’s interpretation.

Requirements / Eligibility

Non Architecture Competitions are open to all human beings, from every age and cultural background, working in groups or individually. The registration fee is paid per team, regardless of how many members form it. Personal information of all the team members can be uploaded during the submission procedure of the final drawing.

About the Organizer

Non Architecture seeks to reinvent spatial design by questioning the base, the fundamentals, and the conventions of an architect’s work.  With its international editorial team and a design community of thousands of people, Non Architecture develops initiatives, mediums, and projects to explore innovative design solutions and experimental collaboration models.

Non Architecture is everything that is not architecture yet.

Also, Non Architecture is concrete. Today it’s a portal for design contests, a community for architects and non-architects, an open-source online journal, an independent publisher, and a remote design studio.

Note: Please feel free to add any more headings/ information if needed. Please keep all information brief and to the point.
